Summary of this proficiency test:

On 26 April 2017 the proficiency test on Base Oil (Fresh) started with 55 participants from 33 different countries.

On that date, the sample was dispatched to the laboratories. Enclosed to the sample was the material safety data sheet (MSDS).

Please confirm sample receipt as soon as you have received and checked the contents of the sample package via www.kpmd.co.uk/sgs-iis/. Please enter the date of receipt and press the "save date" button.

The sample can be analyzed on: Total Acid Number, Density at 15°C, Flash Point, Kinematic viscosity at 40°C, Kinematic viscosity at 100°C,  Viscosity Index, Pour Point Manual/ Automated, Sulphur, Water Separability, Rust Preventing, Air-Release Time at 50°C, Color ASTM, Conradson Carbon Residue, Ramsbottom Carbon Residue, Evaporation loss by Noack test, Viscosity Stabinger at 40°C and 100°C and Water content by KF.

The deadline for reporting results is set on 2 June 2017. A laboratory that reports test results after the deadline will definitely not get direct feedback in case any of its results are suspect! So be in good time to get the most out of this proficiency test.
