Summary of this proficiency test:

On 8 February 2010 the proficiency test on Gasoline started with 144 participants from 68 different countries.

On that date, the samples (#1009 and #1010) were dispatched to the laboratories. Enclosed to the samples were the instructions to the participants for this proficiency test, forms for the reporting of the analysis results and the material safety data sheet (MSDS).

The samples can be analyzed on: Aromatics, API gravity, Benzene, Copper strip 3hrs/50ºC, Distillation, Doctor test, Density @15ºC, Existent gum (washed), olefins, aromatics, Lead, Manganese, Mercaptans, Oxygenates, Sulphur, Oxidation Stability, RON/MON, Total vapour pressure and DVPE.

The deadline for reporting results is set on 5 March 2010. A laboratory that sends in results after deadline will definitely not get direct feedback in case any of its results are suspect! So be in good time to get the most out of this proficiency test.
