Summary of this proficiency test:

On 16 September 2009 the proficiency test on Gasoil started with 181 participants from 74 different countries.

On that date, the samples (#0965, #0966 and #0967) were dispatched to the laboratories. Enclosed to the samples were the instructions to the participants for this proficiency test, forms for the reporting of the analysis results and the material safety data sheet (MSDS).

The samples can be analyzed on: Ash content, Cetane Index, Carbon residue, Cloud Point, Cold Filter Plugging Point, Colour, Copper Corrosion, Density @15ºC, Flash Point PMcc, Kinematic viscosity @40°C, Lubricity, Nitrogen, Pour point, Aromatics, Sulphur content, Total Acid Number, Water content, FAME content, Distillation at 760 mmHg, Cetane Number, Derived Cetane Number, ignition delay, Air Temperature and Total contamination..

The deadline for reporting results is set on 16 October 2009. A laboratory that sends in results after deadline will definitely not get direct feedback in case any of its results are suspect! So be in good time to get the most out of this proficiency test.
