Summary of this proficiency test:

On 22 September 2008 the proficiency test on Gasoline started with 69 participants from 40 different countries.

On that date, the samples (0856, and 0857) were dispatched to the laboratories. Enclosed to the samples were the instructions to the participants for this proficiency test, forms for the reporting of the analysis results and the material safety data sheet (MSDS).

The samples can be analyzed on: Aromatics, API gravity, Benzene, Copper strip 3hrs/50ºC, Distillation, Doctor test, Density @15ºC, Existent gum (washed), olefins, aromatics, Lead, Mercaptans, ETBE, MTBE, Sulphur, Oxidation Stability, RON/MON, Total vapour pressure and DVPE.

The deadline for reporting results is set on 24 October 2008. A laboratory that sends in results after deadline will definitely not get direct feedback in case any of its results are suspect! So be in good time to get the most out of this proficiency test.
