Summary of this proficiency test:

On 23 April 2008 the proficiency test on Biogasoline started with 34 participants from 19 different countries.

On that date, the samples were dispatched to the laboratories. Enclosed to the samples were the instructions to the participants for this proficiency test, forms for the reporting of the analysis results and the material safety data sheet (MSDS).

The samples have to be analyzed on: Aromatics, Benzene, Copper strip 3hrs/50慢, Density @15慢, Distillation @ 760 mmHg (IBP, 10% evaporated, 50% evaporated, 90% evaporated, FBP), Gum (washed), Mercaptans, Olefins, Oxidation Stability, Oxygen, Oxygenates content, Ethanol, i-Butanol, MTBE, ETBE, TAME, DIPE, Phosphorus and Sulphur.

The deadline for reporting results is set on 23 May 2008. A laboratory that sends in results after deadline will definitely not get direct feedback in case any of its results are suspect! So be in good time to get the most out of this proficiency test.
