Summary of this proficiency test:

On 27 February 2008 the proficiency test on Jet Fuel A1 started with 71 participants from 36 different countries.

On that date, sample 0816 was dispatched to the laboratories. Enclosed to the sample were the instructions to the participants for this proficiency test, forms for the reporting of the analysis results and the material safety data sheet (MSDS).

The samples have to be analyzed on DERD 2494 & Joint Fueling check list profile: Aromatics, Colour Saybolt, Copper strip corrosion 2hrs @100ºC, Density, D-86 distillation, Existent gum, Flash Point, Freezing Point, JFTOT, Mercaptans, MSEP, Naphthalenes, Smoke point, Specific Energy, Total acidity, Total Sulfur and Viscosity @ -20°C. 

The deadline for reporting results is set on 28 March 2008. A laboratory that sends in results after deadline will definitely not get direct feedback in case any of its results are suspect! So be in good time to get the most out of this proficiency test.
