On 27-Apr-05 the proficiency test Lubricating Oil started with 13 participants out of 9 different countries.

On that date the sample (0.5L) was dispatched to the laboratories. Enclosed to the sample were the instructions to the participants for this proficiency test and forms for the reporting of the analysis results and the material safety data sheet (MSDS).

The samples have to be analysed on: Acidity, Colour Pt/Co, Density @20ºC, MEHQ, Water, Purity, n-Butanol, n-Butylacetate, n-Butylmetacrylate, n-Butylpropionate, Di-n-butylether, 2-Ethylhexylacrylate, Isobutylacrylate and Unknown impurities.

The deadline for reporting results is set on 25-May-05. A laboratory that sends in results after deadline will definitely not get direct feedback in case any of its results are suspect! So be in good time to get the most out of this proficiency test.
