2018 Proficiency Test (PT) on Biodiesel started

Summary of this proficiency test:

 

On 11 April 2018 the proficiency test on Biodiesel started with 38 participants from 26 different countries. On that date, the samples were dispatched to the laboratories. Enclosed to the sample is the material safety data sheet (MSDS).

Please confirm sample receipt as soon as you have received and checked the contents of the sample package via www.kpmd.co.uk/sgs-iis/. Please enter the date of receipt and press the "save date" button.

 

The samples can be analyzed on: Acid Value, Acid Number, Cloud Point, CFPP, Carbon Residue, Copper Strip Corrosion, Density at 15ºC, Flash Point (PMcc/recc), Iodine number, Kinematic Viscosity at 40 ºC, Oxidation Stability, Pour Point, Sulphated Ash, Sulphur, Water, Water and Sediment, Distillation performed at 10mmHg, Heating Values, Methanol, Monoglycerides, Diglycerides, Triglycerides, Free Glycerol, Total Glycerol, Total Ester Content, Linolenic Acid Methyl Ester, Polyunsaturated Methyl Esters, Sum of Calcium and Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Sodium, Sum of Potassium and Sodium, Particulate Contamination, Total Contamination, Cold Soak Filter Test and Filter Blocking Tendency.

 

The deadline for reporting results is set on 18 May 2018. A laboratory that reports test results after the deadline will definitely not get direct feedback in case any of its results are suspect! So be in good time to get the most out of this proficiency test.

The test results should be reported via our internet based results reporting platform www.kpmd.co.uk/sgs-iis/. A login and a password can be requested via email to iisnl@sgs.com
