Summary of this proficiency test: On 27 April 2016 the proficiency test on
Turbine Oil (Used) started with 40 participants from 28
different countries. On that date, the samples were dispatched
to the laboratories. Enclosed to the samples were the instructions to the participants for this
proficiency test and the
material safety data sheet (MSDS).
The samples can be analyzed on: Total Acid Number, Base Number , Color ASTM, Density @ 15°C, Flash Point PMcc, Flash Point C.O.C., ICB membrane patch colorimetry,
Kinematic viscosity @ 40°C, Kinematic viscosity @ 100°C, Viscosity Index, Oxidation Stability RPVOT, Water content by KF, Water Separability and Level of contamination.
The deadline for reporting results is set on
3 June 2016. A laboratory that sends in results after deadline will definitely
not get direct feedback in case any of its results are suspect! So be in good time to get the most out of this proficiency test. |
