Summary of this proficiency test:

On 16 April 2014 the proficiency test on Turbine Oil started with 30 participants from 20 different countries.

On that date, samples were dispatched to the laboratories. Enclosed to the samples were the instructions to the participants for this proficiency test, forms for the reporting of the analysis results and the material safety data sheet (MSDS).

The samples can be analyzed on Flash Point PMcc, Total acidity, Base Number, Acid Number, Color, Density @ 15°C, Kinematic viscosity @40°C and @100°C, Calculating viscosity Index from Kin. Visco @40&100°C, Level of contamination, Water by KF, Water Separability and Foaming Characteristics

The deadline for reporting results is set on 16 May 2014. A laboratory that sends in results after deadline will definitely not get direct feedback in case any of its results are suspect! So be in good time to get the most out of this proficiency test.
